my car ran a consistant 12lbs of boost. i put on an intake and now when i get up around 4500rpm's or higher my boost falls down to about 9-10. it never did that it was always consistant. i checked for leaks but don't believe i have one anywhere. anyone have a similar problem with an intake install? i got a check light a few days after putting it on. i disconnected the battery for a bit and cleared that. but how would it make me loose boost. some help

humm thats wierd....im always around 10 pounds, and if im lucky ill hit 12. im sitting at 7k on elavation. what about u?

i have no idea on elevation. and someone last night told me on here to disconnect my battery and i did. so now the code is cleared and i can't pull it to even know what it was.. i'm 99.9% it is intake related since i just put a new one on a couple days ago. i'm sure the light will come back on again. i checked and have no leaks.. the throttle seems a little jerky at lower rpm's.idles fine. once i'm in boost its fine besides loosing a few lbs at high rpms which my mechanic told me is actually quite normal on a sc car. but it didn't do it before the intake. i had some ******* say send your intake back but...i don't think the manufacture of it would make a difference.. its a piece of pipe. wether or not it has to learn the new air flow i dunno. i've always had fords.
