That being said i think our internals can stand up to more than 300hp and 12's can be had without opening the engine.

Rather in a GTP since the engine is larger, it will take more to kill it and it can with stand much more stress...

The LSJ build book says to change the pistons. The connecting rods and crank should be fine. Stock the pistons are cast aluminum. The ones they used for the 300 hp build were forged and were 10.0:1 instead of 9.5:1. They also used a 73mm (approx. 2.88") pulley. They also changed the cams and valvetrain and reflashed the PCM. They broke 300 hp at almost 7000 rpm.
