Injen used the MR technology to design it and said they received a 15 or 17 hp gain. Now to us that seems like a lot but maybe they did? It is an awesome intake system and I wouldnt doubt them.

Injen claims 17hp and 16tq. Very similar to the fujita.

I have ordered one of the intakes and asap after it gets here i hope to get before and after dyno's to get some actual numbers.

We accept, visa and mastercard direct on the website. If you have paypal I think you can use your amex through paypal. This is why we offer paypal for the customers that dont use Visa or Mastercard.

Just looked on the injen website. Like i said the gains they advertise are 17hp and 16tq however these are the greatest increases seen across the rpm band, the same way fujita reported there large increases. The increases at the peaks are 12hp and 8tq.

Does it really give you 17hp? It sounds kinda false. Also, would it make the supercharger sound the same as if you were to put the K&N intake on?

The Injen is BOTH a cold air intake and a Short ram intake. It is a 2 piece design so if you dont want the CAI in the winter you can convert it over. Also install is much easier on Injen than the K&N from my experience.

As far as sound, the Inejn and K&N would be very close to the same when the Injen is setup as the CAI.

I am sure Injen did see a 17hp peak gain, they did not say 17hp over the entire RPM range. I would guess they noticed a nice 12-14 HP gain over most of the RPM's.

Im sure the sound will be very similar to the K&N. I previously did the sirbox mod and it greatly increased the supercharger sound over stock. I think most of the sound increase is simply due to the exposed filter that the stock system doesn't have. I explained the "17hp" above.

Keep in mind i don't have the intake yet. I ordered it from TurboTech so i hope to have it the end of next week or the week of the 19th. If i can't get dyno time next weekend i will try to get some on the 23rd or a few days after christmas.

Does this intake gain more hp than the K&N? I was originally going with K&N no questions asked but the Injen is interesting to me

Dont get me wrong K&N are great intakes. It is just Injen has really been a great company lately in design. They utilize this new MR technology and get the most effecient air dynamics. They just dont bend tubes and call it an intake, that is not what Injen is all about.

How large is the piping? What type of filter is that? Is the MAF still in the same position as other intakes? Any news on a CEL or not?

So if i'm correct, it doesn't come with something like K&N's drycharger does it? So if you were to drive through a huge ass puddle (if) it wouldn't give you the same protection as the K&N would would it?

I just put my order through for the polished one, so I guess that makes for only 1 and 1. Hopefully this will be as good as the Injen intake on my friends Lancer Evo 8.

Only 1 black and 1 polished not yet ordered, after we run out, it will be 2-3 week wait time for more to come in.
