2.7 Inch = Failure
I was wondering how many people have had problems running the 2.7 pulley. I want to go with the 2.7 with new injectors. I have a aem wideband and a aeroforce so I will be able to monitor everything. I also have a heat exchanger to help keep the IAT's down. Im just wondering if the 2.7 is really safe for our cars and who has already had problem with it. Thanks

Been running the 2.7" for almost 10 months now and I love it. Its a huge change from the 2.9" to the 2.7" i dont know how much the 2.8" to 2.7" would be though. Nothing is risky about running the 2.7", I have a cobra h/e and my IAT2's stay below 120 normally and dont go above 140 while racing.

Most guys around here have a 2.5 and smaller and have been running low 13s for quite a while now. Exceeding 16,000 rpms at the blower is where your horsepower will drop significantly.

The difference honestly will be hard to tell. 2.8/2.7 = 1.037, so lets assume you'll flow 3.7% more air. Add in some extra heat, parasitic loss, etc, and assume 2.5-3% increase. Assuming thats to your raw HP, on a 250hp car, thats 6.25 to 7.5 extra HP in relation to the larger pulley, or less then the average driver will be able to feel.

You will definately notice something (if you drive your car hard a lot, you will definately notice something), it won't be a drastic difference though.
On a side note...I'm running a 2.5 pulley with stock h/e, no meth injection....iat temps don't really go aboev 145-150
And a 2 gear pulle (2nd to 3rd redline) I only get up to like 120-125 iat...but then again, it's still around 30-45 degrees out...the summer is going to kill me

if you are going for the 60 #injectors don't bother with the 2.7 get the 2.6 or 2.5 they bring the torque in way sooner. then buy the snout maching tool from zzp and after you are done you can lend it to me. hahaha.
