2.8 and no slip

I installed the ZZP 2.85, and am getting NO SLIP and about 16ish lbs of boost on the stock idler and stock belt

Why is everyone installing the bigger idler pulley? How bad has it slipped for you?

IM still going to throw on the S2 belt when available

I'm using the ZZP tensioner arm with my 3.00 with plans to put on the 2.85 after I get bigger injectors and reflash. The tensioner arm is fantastic, three adjustable settings to accomodate pulleys SMALLER than 2.50. I think you might get some slip over time as the OEM belt starts to stretch but the S2 belt is definitely the way to go!!!

Trix, sscobalt06, which of you are running the stock belt?

I just received the GM stage 2 and also have the Intense 2.8" and am curious to see if the stock tensioner is adequate or if it is going to slip.

If you have the S2 belt you will be set. That will take up all the slack

I have one on the way, because like said above, eventually it ***may slip, but all night its been fine, put over 70miles on it tonight

I had a feeling it would be ok. Was wondering how everyone was making out.
Thanks for the info.

Awesome. Thanks.

With the stage2 belt, I shouldn't have any slipping then.

The stage 2 belt is one tight bugger. Took us like 20 mins just to get it over the tensioner pulley. If your not getting any squeals out of the stock belt with a 2.8 thats amazing.
