you can install it at home and drive to the place of the tune.. but thats about as long as u should have it untuned

so can anyone answere my question? does stage 1 allow for a 2.9in-2.8 in pulley without further tune for the most part?

2.9 with stage 1 tune should be ok. 2.8 is on the border, some say yes some say no.

ok thanks for clarifying it up i figure i may just go stage 1 because its cheaper and buy a hub and pulley and belt myself and build up the kit.

Thats the way I went! The 2.9 keeps you safe with GM's tune! then again I was told over a year ago that a 3 inch was to small on a stock tune but I did it any ways!

2.8 or 2.9 with stage 1 GM tune... its your choice ultimatly but for the record GM's tune=not so good. If you could buy a set of 42.5 inj get a custom tune from intense(or other) and run the 2.8 you would be better off! Dollar for Dollar a better way to go!
