no I am not. you get me the proof then. I had it and the M90 is the same.
Just the facts from EATON. I hope you to be right but I need hard evidence before I blow mine up.
Someone with stage I and 2.8 pulley on a different thread may have done just that as he has vacuumm leaks from the charger.

All the graphs are maxed out at 16k. If you look at the gen 3, they will stop at 14k.

Who cares!!!! You guys are all bitching about max supercharger RPM. WHO GIVES A ****! When one actually blows up then you can complain about it. It hasn't happened and probably won't. People have been overspinning Eatons forever. Go ***** one of the other 90000 overspin threads with the same damn info. This thread is about the 2.8 with a stage kit.

I thought the measurement was circumference not diameter. and we need to be exact here. 5.6" or 6.0" is a big deal.

Your looking at the wrong charger. the MP62 doesnt look like ours the nose piece is way different. the M62 3rd gen is ours. the blue print and picture of it looks identical. Its redline is 14G's. GM says we have M62 not MP62. this is a big difference.

Edit - is this it! http://www.zzperformance.com/cobalt_...les1.php?id=55
Okay now I am believing there is truth here. you have provided a start. forgive me for not jumping in with both feet but I want to see more info. does GM or Eaton have info to confirm this or is there something on the charger that confirms this for us?
Also what is the actual crank pulley size? 6"

A simple question--errr..questions!!...........It seems that stage 2 just gives you the 3.0 pulley with a new belt. So is it not better to just get stage one and use the 2.8 pulley??? Are the results similar?? Does the 2.8 fit the same sized stock belt??? and if so, then you would save money and get the same results...........or does stage 2 give you an advantage???

If you put a 2.8 on your stock belt, it will slip. You will need to either A) Buy a smaller belt which don't exist besides the GM belt (good luck trying to buy that alone) or B) Buy a belt tensioner that ZZP makes

So you can do stage 1 with a 2.8 and the zzp tensioner????? How much will this cost vs stage 2???? Is it worth it??? What may be the complications of doing this???

Well the tensioner is around $100, the pulley is like $100, and stage 1 is like what $400, $500? You will either pay the same price as stage 2 or a little bit over but you will have a 2.8 inch instead of a 3. I plan on doing this myself.

I am running the stage 1 w/2.8 and i was also the one with the vaccum leak and that was from the injector cap o-ring breaking no big deal 5 minutes to fix. as far as the a/f is concerned you guys need to read what some dynos w/stage 2 actuall prove the graph i just read shows a 11 to 12 a/f ratio w/ the stage 2 kit there is plenty of fuel to do the 2.8 you guys if you don't think so i have been runnig the crap out of my car and it still works perfect i will have a dynograph for you all tomorrow hopefully so we can end this stupid arguement. The injectors are good for up to around 300hp. The stock ones were doing a 12.9 a/f ratio with the rev it up stage kit on the car and they were boosting 17 pounds. So with bigger injectors we should have no problem with our a/f.
