i ran a 2.85 fine on my car, people will tell you its not good but i now run a 2.8 on 42's and a stage 2 tunes and im still running fine.. have had it on for a good 7k miles

yeah gm's weird like that they push the envelope on everything. stg2 is close to and in some cases over 100% idc's but its ok cause its warrantied right lol

Look around the site for a little bit and do some research before you make a decision. Theres some good info on this if you dig around through all the crap. Try to decide what you want from the car and your potential goals. A potential place to start:
tuning
60's
2.7-2.8 in pulley
poly mounts
full exhaust
intake
meth/heat exchanger
Dont overlook traction and cooling mods. Too many people just want to buy more and more power adders, when they cant put the power they are making currently to the ground. If your are going to go the route above, cooling mods will also be a must.
