as said before, more boost does not mean more power, when creating more boost, its making the s/c work harder to force more air in since there is a greater preasure pushing back. im on a 2.7 and see 16 psi. i just love the torque

On the street I only see up to about 14 psi boost, on the dyno I get 16, and on the track I boost to 18.
I have a 2.85"
Maybe theres something in the tune thats lmiting your boost though?

Thats because they are not equasions.....
On the street Im more limited to how much I feel comforatable opening up my car.
By the time I top out 2nd gear, I'm @ 70mph.... SO I max out boost at like
14 maybe 15psi by then.
On the track, being a safer enviroment to accelerate your car, I dont have to watch for animals cops other traffic, I set up my interceptor to record boost, and I finished at the top of 3rd gear, at 100mph... 100mph has more drag then at 70mph and because of the diffrent gear ration between 2nd and 3rd, the engine had to work harder at 6000 - 7000 rpm in 3rd then it did in 2nd, thus more restruction on the engine and I peaked at 18 psi boost..
On the dyno, there is no aerodynamic drag, and itwas done in 4th gear, I maxed out boost at 16psi.
BTW: Before I installed my header Dyno Boost = 17, WHP = 232, after Dyno Boost = 16 and WHP = 239
More boost does not always mean more power, however when an engine is being compared to itself at the same RPM, then boost CAN be used to gauge power.
