I didn't..I bought the car that way from the dealership. It also looks like it may have been dealer installed. I'm wondering if it's just a change in the flash, like an update. I just know that my Friday the 13th was much better because of this find.

That's what I'm wondering too. Ya might want to check your CAL ID to make sure they didn't put the 06 flash in your 07. It will prob install cuz the PCM's are the same but the flash is totally different from stock 06's to the stock 07's.
Some of the techs don't know not to use the 05-06 flash. If it is an 07 flash, I might have to borrow yours

It is definately an 07 and I bought it with all the upgrades on it. Has all the Stg 2 mods including the 7K redline. The car was purchased prior to me buying it for use on a course to test braking, cornering, ect. So it is a good chance that mine may have been a test mule for the new flash. If I can find someone that can tune that would hook me up, I can find out for sure.

I would be careful of those upgrades anyway. My father is a tech at the local Chevrolet dealership where I live. He has seen 2 cobalts come in. One had only the pulley and no ecu reflash or injectors installed. Well it grenaded the supercharger. and more recently, one came in with the injectors and ecu only, this one had a blown engine. Now the latter one may be because of driver error, I don't know for sure. But it makes me re-think the whole upgrade thing. I mean is a whole 26-36hp gain worth the risk? Personally I think its friggin retarded that GM does not warranty their damn upgrades. If its a dealer install then wtf if the problem?

From what I understood/read so far, As long as the Stage 2 is installed by GM it is still under warranty? I could be wrong though.

Yeah, gm will fully warranty your car as long as its a GMPP stage2 installed by a gm dealer. So the question is again, is it worth it?
FU@# yeah!! 7k redline, 40 or so HP and 30 or something torque. All gm backed, I love IT!

The 07's have been released and is working properly. I just relashed mine myself yesterday and everything went fine. It was released fully on the 9th but I waited to make sure they wasn't going to just shut it down again.
Since it's been raining here, I hadn't had a chance to see what it can really do on the streets. "COME ON DRY WEATHER!!" lol
If the dealers tell you that it's not available yet they are partially true. The 07 kits with the 07 part number for the programming is not available. You dont have to have that part number to get the job done. All you have to do is order the 05-06 kit and the hardware is all the same. When you or your dealer installs the hardware, and the tech calls Techline, Techline will give them a VCI number that will be for the 07's. The only number they will have to give Techline is the auth code on your instructions on that sticker.

Alcohol injection is next . In my humble opinion GM can shove the Stage 2 kit. The stock injectors can handle the additional boost.

Through CED it's $550
Now I have a question as well. I'm in the process of ordering an 07 SS/SC, I would like to know if it is wise to get a Stage II installed on it before I take delivery or wait til after break-in (which I'm assuming is the better choice)?
I'm sure I could package it all together but would like opinions.
