Depending on where you go. Prices vary slightly on area and dealerships, not much, but if you know someone that may help. Have you tried Crateenginedepot.com?? They are one of our vendors, good prices.

With GMPP Stage 2, GMPP sport exhaust and CAI...What should I run for HP and TQ numbers?

I have the exhaust on my car already...just waiting for tax money so I can buy CAI and Stage 2.

Quick question, kinda off topic...

I plan on purchasing an SS/SC'd in the near future... I might get a new 2006 rather than an 07, If I were to order stage 2 are all the kits being ordered now calibrated differently to work only on the 07's?

In a simple sentence, will the stage 2 I order still work on and 07?

Thanks

have you not read any post in here? i have an 07 redline with the 04 to 06 stage 2 kit. its jus the tune thats specific.. not the parts.. and the 06 pcm flash code will work. i got my stage 2 from www.winnersaturnparts.com.. and it cost me 325 to get it installed..they use the VIN to make sure its the right flash for the PCM.

I have an 07, and I went to my dealership to ask about them putting on a stage 2 kit, and they told me the kit was available, but the reflash or remapping (??) wasn't available and wouldn't be ready until about may. They have an 07 in their shop right now, that has been there for over 4 months, they put on an 05-06 kit and I guess it hasn't started since, they can't get it to run.

These guys are obviously just clueless. No one in my town has installed a kit on any of the cobalts....I called Denver and they were just as clueless as the techs here.

I called the other dealership in my town, and they said that they know GM wouldn't offer a product without having the reflash/remapping ready as well. They said they would try and do it for me, but I don't know if I should let my car be their 'test' car in a sense.

What is going on, and what should I do?

I live in the wrong damn part of the world....

what your dip **** dealer did was try and modify the vin from the 07 to read as an 06(which some one may allready have registered) thats why it's locked like it is... my dealer told me they could do that but i said ill wait till it came out(which the tune did in december).. its only the tune thats specific.. not the injectors belt and pulley.. sheesh.

Are the instructions that come with the kit detailed enough to where a backyard mechanic can figure it out?

Yes they are...but you need a press or pulley puller for the SC pulley swap. You also need to have the pcm re-programmed at the Dealer

dont blame the false knowledge on your inability to mod correctly.
I know this is an old post, and I have had several people tell me that I take the chance of the car running lean with a 2.8 on the 42lb injectors of the Stage II, however, I tested it myself and it seemed to work fine. Since I tested it and because of everyone that gave me warning, I have since gone back to me Stage II pulley. Now I read this, and I am really thinking about going back to my 2.8.

No it shouldn't, just take it easy for at LEAST the first 500 miles with or without the stage 2.

Congrats on your new ride.

Not really sure about different flashes for stg 1 or 2.

If you mean by "locked" is it available, then yes.

Subject: Information On GM Performance Parts Stage 1 And 2 Kits For 2007 Models - keywords availability calibration concerns engine I II kit no PCM supercharger #PIP3979 - (11/08/2006)
Models: 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt SS
2007 Saturn Ion Redline
with 2.0L Engine (VIN P - RPO LSJ) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Condition/Concern:
The PCM calibrations for GM Performance Parts Stage 1 and 2 kits were not available during the first 2-3 months of vehicle production for the 2007 Cobalt SS and Ion Redline. As a result, these kits were not released through GMSPO or SSPO for 2007 models. In some instances, customers purchased a Stage 1 or 2 kit to find that they could not have it installed on their 2007 Cobalt SS or Ion Redline because the PCM calibrations were being developed and unavailable.

Recommendation/Instructions:
The PCM calibrations that are necessary to install a Stage 1 or 2 kit on a 2007 Cobalt SS or Ion Redline were released on 11/3/2006. These calibrations are now available through Techline Customer Support Center as outlined in the instructions that come with the kit.

Only difference between the 07's and 06 and below are..06 and below have 16 bit processors, and the 07's have a 32 bit processor in em. This is as far as tuning goes. If I could, I would hook ya up man, but I can't even get my GM peoples to find the calibration number to get me the latest flash for mine. Damn GM stage test dummy..lol
