3" exhaust WAY to loud
Alright so before i go any further my setup right now is as follows:
Badmab shorty header
3" Cattless ZZP downpipe
3" Mandrel bent Borla exhaust
Needless to say this is super super loud and it needs to be quieted down alot. So im now asking what are my options? would getting a catted downpipe make a difference ? There is only one muffler and its right at the end, not sure what model or anything all i know is that its a Borla muffler and its pretty straight threw ( as in there isn't much being muffled. It does seem to be making more power but it sounds like a jet engine lol.

From what I've seen in recent threads, I don't see a reason to go higher than 2.5" for a supercharged exhaust. If I remember my correctly from my tech knowledge (I'm working off old knowledge here ) s/c's tend to like a little more restriction on the exhaust side.

I got mine custom made but all i have is the factory cat welded into my downpipe and a flowmaster muffler and it sounds a ton better than cattless and I made 228 just from the 3in exhaust

I would say that both a cat and a resonator will help. Here are two vids of my 3" setup. My exact setup is in my sig.

Put a cat in...high flow...if its still too loud, go with zzp's whisper resonator
i have a 3" straight pipe side exit no cat no muffler....but i'm turbo'd

[QUOTE=D Boogie C;6423090]Ok this is what i have found.
vibrant resonator and a ZZP cat? any options on this?
EDIT: im only not getting the ZZP Resonator because its only 2.5"[/Q]
Just go generic on the resonator and a high flow cat, but without the resonator on mine I can take off slowly just drivin miss daisy style and hear the supercharger thru the exhaust it seems like ahhhhh lol
