1. Since no one makes coilovers for the redline because we have a single bolt top strut mount..i was curious how the coblat looked from under the car...is there some sort of reenforcing or is it just sheet metal...because i may have to custom fit cobalt coilovers into my redline

1. i just did my springs and im pretty sure its just basic sheet metal
2. i heard there is something msd came out with that they had for the cavi and made it fit the lsj
3. 4-2-1 gets better equal flow, but im not sure

2. Unless you go with a distributor from MSD, or a MSD setup, which some have done, that is about your best option.

3. Go quality, that is all we have to say Weapon R is a copy cat company that takes a copy of an item and has it made in china. Look at the Weapon R torque damener, compared to the ingalls. They look the same, correct, but there are so many post how people have the Weapon R brand.

so i could retrofit cobalt coilovers into a redline.....TTR do you carry any MSD products and secondly who might the orignal company for the 4-2-1?

I can answer a little about the weapon-r:

I haven't tested performance differences for the weapon-r 4-2-1 and vibrant 4-1, but i know the weapon-r tubes extend much farther (since the 2-1 section is about as long as everyone elses downpipes). The longer the tubes for scavenging, usually the better the low end torque, but there is no room with the weapon-r for a catalytic converter.

I've also heard 4-2-1 is better for an evening out the power band and keeps it from being less peaky (probably due to having equivalent of 2 collectors thus having 2 different frequency pressure waves for scavenging). For overall performance, there probably isn't a huge difference, but I do know when i'm on the gas my car keeps making great power from low-end all the way to redline.

Last, for the quality, I bought a full weapon-r header for $594 shipped which included a 90 degree o2 simulator. It looks amazing with the polished stainless steel, and i would only go stainless steel with headers period. Most of the welds are TIG and are amazing, but there are some MIG weld spots that were really crappy and needed to be ground down.

Also, fitment is a little tight and may bump parts like the front sway bar under hard acceleration if you don't have strong trans mounts (not to mention having to unbolt the front sway bar, steering rack and rear trans mount to get it on).
