we have a 5th generation eaton

without the eaton we have ~160hp IIRC

i htink it's more along the lines of 120 or so. low compression, and less discplacement than a 2.2

Yea... I thought we had a 5th gen...

I'd be interested in seeing an m110 swap on a cobalt. That's the SC off an 03-04 cobra.

magnuson is just a dealer for eaton, they build blower kits using the eaton supercharger. we do have a 5th gen blower, the 4th gen one shown in those pics is just a generic case, out blower case is built aplication specific.

pretty much id say thats the same blower we have.

Magnuson also makes parts for Blowers I always thought. My Grand Am had a Magnuson/Eaton supercharger on it. I never really looked into the details of where each individual part came from, but I always assumed they didnt just tag their name onto the blower.

I'm lost with what people are looking at. It clearly says adding the supercharger will give you 40%... there is nothing at all about changing your current one. So yeah, you take a look at an ecotec dealer find the lsj and get 100% gain if we are using that logic.

another thing i want to point out is that u guys are getting so tied up in it being a 4th gen and ours being a 5th gen u need to remember that this is there supercharger...not gm's maybe its there 4th gen...doesnt mean its not compatable with ours since its a 5th gen..

gm doesn't have any superchargers... they use eatons. going to the 4th gen is going backwards. trust us when we tell you its not worth it

i have never been bored enough to dyno with the bypass wired open to get an "all motor" number.

a 2.8 pulley takes about 30 hp to turn.

what do you mean by that? just because a few people told you it's not worth it, gave their reasoning which makes total sense doesn't mean you should try.

you're looking at a generic kit, not a cobalt specific kit. which means the gains posted are generic. if you had a turbocharged car, would you gain anything by putting on a smaller, less efficient turbo? no, you would lose power. same concept here.
