yeah till it goes boom! if you have a 2.7 you will get through the rpms faster then a 2.8 so there for you wont be doing as much damage to the motor or supercharger. your not spinning the supercharger as much with a 2.7 and 6500 rpm then you would be with a 2.8 and 7000 so there for your running cooler iats and a safer engine. 2.7 and 6500 RL is 600 rpms less on the super charger then the 2.8 7000.

you very possibly could. your pushing colder air into the engine and more densed air. those 500rpms might not make that big of a difference. im not saying it will and im not saying it wont. but remember this you will be getting more torque earlier in the the rpms with a 2.7 then a 2.8 and torque is what really matters. torque is better for the strip rather then horsepower.

Right, but 2 lb ft is not enough to overcome the difference of shift points for me. How much torque will you gain really? I shift at about 7100, so if I shifted at 6400 and dropped myself 500 rpms lower in the next gear, will that point, 500 rpms less with a 2.7, be making more torque and HP than the spot 500 rpms higher, but with a 2.8? I don't think it matters either way, I won't be using a smaller pulley and I don't own HPT so I can't retune the car yet. When I can, I'll see what works and go from there.
