50# with 2.85 n Ported SC

Hey Guys, I wanted to know did anyone has experienced 50# with 2.85 n Ported SC ? Cause I am on 50# with 2.9 n Non-Ported SC. Right now I am seeing my car boosting 13psi then on the way up if I get up to higher RPM. That's why I wanted to know if 2.85 n Ported SC will be better than that.

That's strange....I thought that I would be boosting more. Well, It did boost more when I get to higher RPM. That mean must be something is wrong, it could be bad boost valve.

Boost will go down if you port, power will go up, provided you mate it with more fuel and a tune

what elevation are you at? iat2?? what exhaust mods? thatll all affect boost. there may not be a problem.

when i was stock, id see boost at 13 psi, because im at sea level. then i went to 8k ft above sea level on a trip during the summer in colorado and didnt see above 10 psi.

i have a full catless exhaust on a 2.8 and only see 15 psi. boost isnt a measure of power anyways.

^^^this. Unless the head port is junk or the exhaust is restrictive.

That works for porting the head...

However the OP talks about a ported SC, which if that flows any more CFM it should at least give similar boostlevel to a standard GM SC.
(Or the SC porting is seriously flawed...)
