Still ebristol you have to admit it's kind of a big risk to take for a sound modification (ie scare the hell out of pedestrians). But I guess if it stands 5k miles it should be good to go. With a 2.7 that must sound like the world's going to end.
Wait...here's a question...why do people who do port/polish of s/c's tend to increase the silencer holes? (ie stagemeier, others)...if it's only to dampen sound there's no performance reason to increase the size of these holes.
Why do you spray orange meth? What exactly does that do to your exhaust (nothing I'm guessing)

I think you saw that pic of the Steigmeister blower that LOOKED like the holes were ported, but it had really just been polished, making the holes look bigger.

I also used it to patch a stone hole in my old Cobra HE and it worked great. I was skeptical about using on my SC until I saw what a good job it did on the HE.
If anyone is considering doing this change your SuperCharger oil while you are at it.

please tell me you read far enough to see that, that guy is a dumb ass filling to the bottom of the whole is way to much fluid it takes 6oz no more or it will cause blower seal failure and extremely high iat-2's and much unwanted drag causing the snout to wear prematurly
(crosse fingers please tell me you didnt) look at post 14 and read on
and take that out my thread please its bad bad info...

THAT IS ALL YOU NEED PEOPLE!!
I'm glad you pointed that out.
I linked to that thread more for the pics of the dirty oil after very few miles. Just because it is dirty does not mean it is not performing as good as new SC oil but for $10 I will change my SC oil once a year.

While my car is still down, I think I might plug my silencer holes. Damn though, my blower whine was EFFING loud before. With the silencer holes plugged, **** it will blow ear drums out!!!

just change it again... i and alot of members use 6oz when you remove and dump, 4oz is for the suck and fill procedure since you cant get out the last 2oz...
its much more accurate to get it all out then refill instead of guessing...

Also, can anyone give me a composition makeup for quicksteel vs magnum steel vs JB weld? quicksteel and JB weld are both epoxies, so I would assume the risks of using one would also apply to the other, and I can't find anything on magnum steel, but it seems to be the same thing.

Havn't had the chance to throw it on the dyno yet. I don't think it will increase peak HP, but it does boost faster than without them plugged. That I have noticed.
