Designed as a direct bolt-on to The Other Guys Header for the 2.0 Supercharged Chevrolet Cobalt SS and Saturn ION Redline with stock exhaust. The Other Guys do not cut corners and only use industry proven and quality performance exhaust components. The down pipe includes the highest quality “Flex Pipe” in the industry! The flexible pipe is double woven with stainless steel mesh inside and outside for strength, durability and noise reduction. They chose a catalytic converter that sets, rather than meets, the highest standards of product performance and efficiency in the industry. Aluminized steel piping used through out, to include a 3” to 2 ½” reducer to mate back to the stock exhaust. Federal Law stipulates that a converter isn't supposed to be replaced with an aftermarket unit unless a vehicle has 50,000 miles or is 5 years old. Prior to that, the original equipment converter is covered by the factory warranty. If it fails, the vehicle owner is supposed to take it to the dealer and have it replaced under warranty. The only exception is if the original converter was physically damaged. Please review Federal, state and local laws regarding the replacement of your catalytic converter.

I really wish I had 715 at the moment b/c id love to get the hp gains from that I know somewhere down the line Ill be purchasing a header and a high flow cat though.. hoping it yours aslong as there are good hp gains

The money is sitting there just waiting to see the gain #'s. And I can't wait for the parts. How does the legality of converters work in Canada?? Anyone, not that will stop me I just like to know what laws I am breaking

Can we get the downpipe w/o a converter on it so we can use it "for offroad use" . It states that it will not void warranty....why is this so? The Stealership that i hate dealing with(they are the only place close by) would void my warranty if my car was to get too dirty! What is the ship date?

I've already considered that for the individuals that step up to a 3" exhaust. It shouldn't be a problem but we will need to know the flange\bolt hole placement to insure a direct fit.

that is easy enough, I know zinner's and mine bolt up to the stock downpipe with no problems, so that should make it easy, just make a 3" version of the stock connector and that will be perfect!

On a stock Cobalt ss/sc, it doesn't look like it does much. Almost 10hp and 5tq. However, when you pile on your mods, I think it will help more in the long run and make your other mods produce more hp. I may be wrong though

Would it make sense to get the header and the downpipe only? run the header to the downpipe, then connect to the stock (already highflow and legal) cat and then connect to your 3 inch exaust?

Would this not work? What if you dont want the Cat can the price be lowered?

its a bolt on part bro so just buy it and when inspection comes along in 4-5 years bolt the stocker one back one

As far as inspection goes I would check your local laws for emissions inspections. In Maryland they check that you have a CAT and that you have all the O2 sensors.

Then they hook your car up to a scanner and make sure it's passes all it's internal diagnostics and you pass.
