I assume you mean 700whp on gas. I'd think you could get to ~500 on E85 with these injectors with a serious pump.

more or less. on a return style system, they hit a wall around 510whp on e85 with an 044 pushing it.

on a returnless? mmmmm dunno?

--------------------------------------------
jrhd - no re-wire if i can help it. return style would be so much easier to work with right now. then again, i have never done anything the easy way with any of my cars.

the zzp part on the gxp was a shift kit. intense got horrible reviews on club gp. so i went with the one that had better reviews ::shrugs::

Always 5 steps ahead...

Area. Have you been paying attention to the seasonal E85 blend changes? In September my local stations switched to the fall blend. So the fuel went from approximately 83% to 78% ethanol over the last two weeks and it has had a huge effect on my AFR in PE.

My ARF in PE has leaned out .6-.8.

More info for those who are interested:

Per federal (DOE) specifications E85 does change the % ethanol vs hydrocarbon by season. The purpose of this is to raise the Reid Vapor Pressure of the fuel for cold starts in flex fuel vehicles.

This is done by increasing the % hydrocarbon (gas component) as colder temps are expected. Here are the normal months changes begin to happen as one moves thru the seasons and the final blend % alcohol for Wisconsin's lattitude;

Sept to Nov 78%
Nov to April 70%
April to May 78%
May to Sept 83%

(% alcohol is stated in pure terms w/o denaturing gas-- thus the Summer E85 is 85% denatured ethanol but only 83.3% pure 200 proof booze).

if they're using more conventional gas, and less ethanol, wouldnt that make your car run richer? not leaner? Given that gas has a stoich near 14.7:1 vs ethanol's stoich wich is much richer.
Just like switrching to pure gas while running the same injector pulses would make you rish as all hell, i would assume slightly increasing the gas content and reducing ethanol content would also make you run richer...

they are starting to switch here as well. i am working with paul yaw on two separate fuel maps right now for the 1k's. one for e85, and one for pump gas.

just let it be known that using a 60lb map for 80's, or 79's is not the way to go about tuning for e85. there is so much that has to be changed in the map. will it work? yes. work right? not really.

you must not have read his post about most people never needing more than 60s. I'm 99% sure you wont need bigger squirters for a 2.75. you will be fine with your 60s and a 7gph nozzle. even with the 2.9" and no methanol you still didnt run out of injector.

Besides, If you get 80#s or 100#s, I'm not doing your injector maps. Buy Bryan some plane tix out here, maybe he will do it. I'm not ******* trying to scale those things. FML

i love these injectors more and more every day. the massive amount of precise control with these is flat out awesome. idling at 0% dic, cruising down the highway at 2-3%. i have not gone wot yet due to the maf work i am doing right now to get it exactly right.

something else i have found out. the avg mpg is based upon several things. injector msec/idc, fuel level, and the base of the fuel map itself. the farther you get away from stage 2. the more skewed it becomes.

i'm sitting at half a tank right now and it says i have 320 miles till empty. so, 640 miles on a tank of e-85. uh. no.

Having skewed MPG readout will make me feel better about how I drive at least.
