Isn't AEM's just a SRI? I have the Injen on my SS/SC, just installed it 2 weeks ago. I can tell the car pulls better, and the sound of the SC is amazing Can't ****-talk the AEM but I recommend the Injen. Easy install as well.

aem is just a noisemaker. it's an elbow and a filter. when i opened my box i thought they left a few peices out. as far as feeling a difference, i don't think you can really feel a difference on a 2.0. maybe it's different when you're stock, but really, you're going to tell me someone can feel the difference between 245 and 250 hp?

yah. AEM is not technically a "full" intake from throttle body to filter.
but i disagree with it "only" being a noisemaker.
the performance gained by a CAI on the 2.0L is 99% from the filter.
the car comes with a cold air filter location, so you are gaining NOTHING from the routing, as its not changed.
I have had a good amount of time with the airbox mod, and a K&N typhoon.
and the performance difference was nil.
the K&N was slightly louder, and looks nice under the hood.
thats about it.

As for the filter, I hate oil filters. I bought the Injen CAI and then replaced the filter with an AEM Dryflow. Works great and no over oiling issues. Turbo Tech Racing has the AEM replacement for the Injen under the "Universal" products section. It has a 2.75" opening.

well, the general idea seems to be to not go with an oiled filter. if there's even a little too much oil on the filter, it will get sucked up and get on the maf, which is bad. other than that, almost all the aftermarket filters should last as long as you have the car. clean them maybe once a year or so, depending on where you live and how you drive of course. that's pretty much it.
