Aftercooler, not Intercooler
Found out at work that you actually have an aftercooler. GM calls it an aftercooler, so that's what I will call it.

"Modern automobile designs are technically aftercoolers because they appear most often at the very end of the chain, but this name is no longer used."
-From wikipedia definition on "intercooler" see this LINK

Air-air and water-air elements are examples of AFTERcooling.
Any meathod of cooling boosted intake air is called "charge air cooling".
However, everyone misuses the terms to the point that it is practically industry standard to call an aftercooler - an intercooler.

That is correct. I got the information off of GM's own service site "SI 2000", which basically shows every service procedure and information on every vehicle GM makes. And I saw the same thing on GM's SPO (Service and Parts Operations). I think that if it is called an "aftercooler" in those GM sources, then that is what it is. The only other thing that GM has called this in these sites is "charge air cooler", as stated by Pulley Police.

Take it easy, big guy! It is only a thread, and a topic to discuss about and create controversey. If there was no controversey on forums, they would be boring as hell. Lighten up and have fun on the forums and don't bad mouth other people just because you don't like the topic they chose or what they may have written in a post. I was merely posting some information I happened to come across during my work day, I do not mean to brag that I am right and others are wrong. You can argue points if you would like, but there is no need to put people down.
Your words of terror amuse only yourself.

I think beer is the last thing some of these wound up dudes need. I believe a nice joint would do the trick in this case...maybe two.
This thread however, is fairly pointless.
