antenna

Very common problem on the SS/SC, but it's an easy fix.
Go to the junk yard, or order a new antenna assembly. It will come with the bracket that bolts into the trunk and the new piece that has the threads for the antenna.
The wire going into that little assembly can be pulled out, you'll have to give it a good tug, and then put the existing wire into the new assembly.
Done.

Apicia probably searched for antenna and came to upon this thread, and no I never got the part number. My stock antenna was fused/corroded and the threads became useless so I had to drill and tap the base for the shorty antenna.

Ordered a new base with mounting plate and a new rubber grommet thing. $20 for both, so not bad. It will be new, so I can put any antenna on it I want. I have a 14" billet black antenna and it blows. Might use the stock one again. Anyone make a short one with good reception?
