Just start your car in a thunderstorm with a copper poll attached to the engine block and get it reflashed.
hahahah i suxxorz.
Thats a pretty bogus thing for a company to do however.

well i just got off the phone with Intense and they said that they do not lock their tunes because they use HPtuners, so the told me to ask Justin ( the guy with HPtuners ) to make sure of three things:
1. To make sure the accesory port has power
2. Have the drivers of the USB ports enabled
3. Update the HPtuners program...
anyone know anything about those options there?
bump... any opinions...?

no it won't, he just needs his hptuners application key. pyros gave me the info, and he is big over on the hpt forums. there is actually the same thing posted on hpt forums
i can't remember what that post said on hpt forums, but it had something to do with the multiple buses that our cobalts use and it said to do that thing with deleting the file then re-entering the key again fixes it

so is deleting the file just basically reseting the cobalt "base" tune in his hpt program? And another question, since i dont have the case re-learn done could he do that through HPtuners? or do i still have to go to a dealership?

there is a factory security feature. re-flash the factory parameters. it's like formatting a hard drive and re-installing your os sorta never actually done it, but I know there's a way! There's a few people on this forum that may have some wise words if they haven't already been said. selfinfliction seems like he's on the right track.

everyone on here that has put a word in has been helpful, i'm just not the type of guy who gets all the technical stuff in cars and thats why its taking me a while to understand all this. Thats actually why i made the thread so i could understand it a little better...
