Boost for a 2.6 sc ported
Alright i ahev got a problem. I put a new engine the car. it is a 06 ss s/c with a ported m62. If i dont have the caum line that goes from the boost solonoid to the bypass vavle i can get up to almost 20 lbs of boost. But at cruise and idle iats get to about 110. So i go to my hp tuners, i look for my boost settings, and i have boost to full and then i look at boost control. I am fairly new to hp tuners but i have been tuning cars forever now. What i was wondering is how can i command full boost at all times. Because when i have the solonoid vacum line plugged in to the bypass valve i see only 15 pounds to 16 and at high rpms i drop to 11 lbsa. so what can i do???

I understand boost dont equal power, but i know people who r running 20 plus and getting well more power then me because i am only running 15 usually,b ut when i dont let the bypass valve open up i get more power and mroe boost. i have a free flowing exaust andthe super charger is ported, i still should be pushing more then 15. Because like i said i bypass the vavle and it boost more and a whole lot more power.
Any one think they might be able to help my problem with my boost?
So does any one else know why this is hapening. Only thing i can think of is the ecm is telling the boost solonoid to kick boost down.

Sounds like youve done enough troubleshooting to determine that the bypass needs to be replaced. The plate may not be closing all the way, thus bleeding off just enough boost to keep you down to 15psi.
FYI it is not unheard of for the bypass to go bad.
30 bucks, cant hurt to try:
