I'll take my money elsewhere and get a custom mandrel bent exhaust made. 700 bucks for such a small amount of steel?

Getting a custom done exhaust is asking for issues. First it takes time, don't be suprised if it takes a couple of weeks of your cars time to get a really good exhaust done.

Then don't forget your using universal parts, so it might not sound how you want it. If it doesn't expect to spend some more time in the shop getting that fixed.

My car spent about 3 to 4 weeks at AAM getting the exhaust fabbed up, testing and doing different interations. I was ok with that because I had another car, but if you depend on your car for your every day transport you need to consider that you are gonna install your borla exhaust in a few hours and be back on the road in no time with less chance of having some issue crop up. Don't be suprised if you toss a resinator and a muffler on your Cobalt and it sounds like ****.

The money isn't just for the raw materials you know, it's for R&D and materials and labor.

Compared to the Corsa tip I think the Borla tip looks cheap.

$775 for the Sport or $800 for the Touring. TTR was also offering 5% off and free shipping if you buy the Corsa through them.

gains are 12whp/8tq

I have thought the same thing, I know its not cheap cuz borla is a trusted brand for me neways. But i like the look of the corsa exhaust, just waiting on #'s and just as important sound. I find that the magnaflow and the corsa sounds similar with the corsa sounding a bit better.

i think i am going to go with the Magnaflow, $480 shipped. Not $775 shipped. i can get the Magnaflow plus a CAI for cheaper than the Borla of Corsa.

Ok guys, we are installing the Borla exhaust on our project car now, and we are also going to be creating a sound clip so that all of you can hear the new Borla !

Dont sign off on the tip just yet, its a very classy looking tip and we will have pictures of it shortly to show everyone what it looks like installed on the car !

definitely a good point but sometimes not the case. the exhaust i designed for my Z took a couple weeks of planning, but about 5 hours to make and fit once all the parts and piping were there. it was one of the best sounding exhausts for the Z i've heard, especially being a single set up where people are mostly running duals. i plan on making a custom exhaust for the cobalt probably next spring, so i'll let you guys know how that works out. here's pics of the Z exhaust:
