Brand New SLP Dual Loud Mouth exhaust

just got my car back from them yesterday its so cool looking how ever... the noise is an extreme problem the exhaust is wayyyyyyyy to loud like to the point where it is annoying to drive my car and you cant even here your self talk in the car i wanted to know if anyone knows of a silencer i could get that would fit any iniversal exhaust. it seriously sounds like my car is running straight pipes. idk waht to do. thank god this was free cause i wouldnt pay for my car to be this loud. sorry.

Ahh, sorry to put it this way but all of SLP's stuff is pretty much strait pipe.

ah, the super loud exhaust, personally I love it. My bud's got a custom jobber which literally IS a straight pipe, and I know what you mean when you say you can't even talk in the car, but I'll tell you something, when he hammers on it, that thing is crazy. lol

Put it this way, you don't put an exhaust made for 8 cylinders on a 4.

But then again, that's just my opinion.

get as big a resonator as possible. should have listened to a sound clip first. there was one posted just the other day. the video sounds like complete and total ass. my pacesetter with 3 exhaust leaks sounded better.

I liked the prototype but for $850 it better provide a service to relieve some stress if you know what I mean... I just ordered a ZZP 3" dp w/ cat and bought one of the SLP headers from Matt. While I was there I asked him about the SLP single exit. For <$500 I still might do it but if I do I will most likely use a Flowmaster 40 series instead of the SLP Loud Mouth muffler (Matt has advised against using a Flowmaster tho, so not sure yet)...

2007 Cobalt SS/SC tints-35's front 20's back Injen Cold air intake. Xtc 2.5 catless d/p red painted calipers 2.7 pulley
42Lb injectors. Dual Slp LoudMouth exhaust hurst short throw shifter And custom dyno tune from Tune Time Performance thanks to Matt. )
looking to buy: Aem Methkit
BTW: You removed your cat in NJ? You must have a ton of money you don't need... The tree huggers in this state will fine you your ***** if they can get them off... It's all good until you get caught but really not smart to post that stuff on the net... Just my 2˝˘

SLP's sound amazing on LS1's, but not so good on the LSJ lol. Im guessing it sounds just like my exaust: Pacesetter header, catless DP, 2 24 inch resenators, an electronic cut out, and the quietest muffler summit has. The car is nasty with the cutout open.
