building a LSJ motor

Im about to start building my motor and I was wondering if anyone has built their engine. Im trying to find the right pistons, rods, etc. I would also like to know if it would be good to get the block sleeved and if so, does anyone sell the sleeves. Im only wanting to do this once so I want to do it right. Also what compression pistons, Im wanting to put a 2.6" pulley with 10.5-1. Thanks for your help.

Not to knock but you will be better off doing a search. There isn't much offered yet for the LSJ except pistons. GM will be coming out with a complete build book for the LSJ with part numbers. There is such a book right now if you do a search but I believe the parts are not available..

Where could I get a build book for the LSJ? I know that there are 3 companies that sell pistons and I think two that sell rods. I was just wondering if anyone knew the best way to go.

do you really need to replace the rods?
my impression as alwas been that your good with all the stock components up to 500HP except for the Piston heads and valve springs

yeah i have had a turbo car and i know that you need low compression with high boost. in the build book it says that you can up the compression to 10.1-1 and 10.5-1 for more power. i was just wondering what could be done. the engine internals suck, the pistons are the worst i think ever made. i have heard that the rods are good for high hp.
