yeah didn't get a chance to install it yesterday, if it stops raining I'll do it tonight.
Having a bad idle issue though, car leans out completely at idle... like ---- out the gauge. But overall driveability is much improved. doesn't have hesitation anymore. did some work on the VE tables today at work, gonna test that out on the way home from work tonight and see how it works out.

my idle afr does weird stuff every now and then. it wants to run at 21.8 afr. sounds cool {sounds like witts car} but the egt starts to climb fast. then it drops down to the 14 range and the egt drops.
weird wild stuff i tell ya

well just reflashed it again at lunch, idle is much better etc% stays btwn 5-7... but my o2 voltage is doing some wierd ****.... and this is my 5th set of 02's on the car (leaded race gas this summer lol) AFR's stay btwn 13.8 and 15.5 (mostly 14.6-14.8) which is better then before. I'll see how it drives now tonight.

Check for an exhaust leak between the head and where your primary o2 is located if you are throwing any type of fuel trim codes. If you aren't throwing a trim code, check between the primary o2 and where your wideband o2 is mounted.
I had a bouncing ETC when I first recammed and it was because the idle was too low and not pushing enough air past it fast enough. Dan had the same issues as well and an increased idle fixed the problem. If you have an increased diameter pipe than stock where your primary o2 is housed you might not be pushing air at a fast enough speed required for the o2 to sweep 14.7 at idle at a fast enough speed. Sometimes you'll throw an insufficient o2 switching code for it but its sporadic.

good ****. I'll check it out when I get back to me casa...
you get the pulley and hub?
but yeah I found a few spots, one I'm missing one of the backplate clamps on the turbo that hold the compressor housing on... don't know where the hell that went lol. got one from another turbo I had layin around so fix that tonight if it doesn't rain anymore. But I went over all the t-bolt clamps and couplers and nothing looks out of place.. so it's either the turbo leaking, or the maf adapter which pooped out a gasket.
I got some work ahead of me tonight

lol yeah I got it yesterday... just hoping this damn drizzle stops. Also the car is driving a 100% better now, throttle response, and low speeds are excellent with my new maf tuning.
Only thing is now my afrs just drop to 10.0-10.4:1 if I punch it. but from what I can tell it seems to be holding steady all the way up. I'm shooting over to my friends house tonight to see if I can fix his s/c. Hopefully get a full 3rd gear pull in somewhere on the highway going out there. Maybe wait til then to toss in the tb too

Paul, boost leak test and get all those exhaust leaks fixed. Trust me, it makes all the differences in the world. My buddies WRX was being a pain like this. We boost leak tested his car and found a ton of leaks. Went from 19psi-21psi after fixing the leaks alone! The car also finally idled nicely and pulled smooth again. As far as the A/F ratios go, if you have the MAF finally tuned right, now you'll definitely need to go back and adjust your PE tables.
Isn't all this stuff fun? Make one change and everything else goes to hell in a hand basket! I know I sure look at it as a love/hate relationship! :lo:

lol yeah I'm kinda used to this stuff now, just the problem is with all the other customer cars I work on I never have time for my own. Last night was the first chance I had to do any real tuning on my car, on the dyno, it was still basically tuned for the s/c lol. Not bad for that right. But yeah, tomorrow is new TB day and redoing my PE setup. It's wierd though, car is going under commanded afr.... Used to sit a little leaner than commanded now it's almost a full point richer if not more in some places. I have it set at an 11.4 afr. I'll see what leaning it out a bit tomorrow does
