I just can't wait for this damn turbo to get here, gonna rip the whole car apart since I need to still replace the thermostat (btw it's a complete bitch to get to) and replace every exhaust gasket so it's gonna be a fun weekend project. ****'s gonna be a monster though when done

first goal was 260. hit it with the 3.06 stage 2 pulley

second goal. 270. hit it with a 2.8 and 42's

third goal. 280 with a 2.7 and 60's hit it.

fourth goal 300. pulley size will remain unknown

the power is there, you just have to work with the motor to coax it out

no. i had some kick ass help when i started getting into it.

you[blackss/sc], denny, witt, dan[djt], paul, bryan[06black], matt[ttp], and some other people as well.

learned from others, and ran with it.

it just takes a simple understanding in the end. people make this a lot harder then it really is.

hey paul, another thread jack courtesy of me!

Screw that. The jacking continues. We need to keep this alive until Paul has something important to tell us. Until that time, I will continue to ***** his thread. Or not, I'm kind of in and out of it today.

I will agree yes, it's easy to get power from this car. I will also say I'm the idiot that broke and went down the wrong roads to get there in the end!

Area, you made 300whp? You motorboating son of a bitch! I want details!

not yet kiddies. it's in the works. just going to require a lot of thinking, and logging to go about getting it.

no one has provided proven numbers on the "mod" yet. so we shall see

There's your foot steps on the ground...

Here's me following them.

I found a Garrett T3/T4 60 Trim turbo, INTERNALLY Wastegated, NEW, for $400 (I can probably coax him down to $300). I just need to figure out what manifolds I wanna use (I was thinking about trying to find a wrecked Solstice or Sky 2.0L and taking those mani's), get a better job, figure out WHO can tune it good for me, and then get to work.

It doesn't help that I just asked my woman to marry me, and we're looking to do it in October. Major Bank killer. But we'll see. I'd like to have this done for the Summer. I like go fast.

I doubt you'll get the LNF manifold to fit. They had a lot more room to play with, given the applications it's used in currently. I doubt it'll fit back there. It's worth looking into, though. That's a hell of a deal on the turbo either way. If you end up just saying, hell with it, and want to spend the money, Hahn's intake and turbo manifolds are solid pieces...

See that's what I was wondering. The manifold on the Cobalt SS/TC should be the same as on the Solstice GXP, right? SHOULD BE... I guess I can always just take a look when i go to the Auto Show at the end of this month.

I know, the Hahn's are nice. I'd really want one. BUT, the Hahn intake... if we're thinking of the same one, I've heard that that style doesn't work with the Stock ECU... or at least that's what they said in the GM Build Book. I wonder.................

The GXP and SS/TC are most likely different just because one is FWD and one is RWD. So I would think they'd be different. But It's really hard to say.
