Mine is in green. The blue line is a 2.0L spinning to 8000pm with headflow numbers identical to ours

Ya...it gets better the higher the PR and flow...its baller on the cheap

Blue line is boost pressure at 20 psi (pressure ratio calculated from that), with cfm plotted from 500 to 8000 rpm. Pre-2003 HX-35 in Green. 2003 - 2004.5 HY-35 in Black. 2004.5 - Present HY-35 in Red. This is for 2.0L of displacement.

Ok, I didn't make it to bed yet! I'm addicted I swear. Looking at the math for our cars, the pressure ratio is above 3 for anything over 400hp@ the crank. djt, your car is different because of the 8000 rpms.

The green and red map for what djt posted would be great for what Paul needs though. The red map more specifically.

Thread jack!!

Area, I was just peeking through the Coolingmist VS devils own water injection thread where you and AIS had some detailed convo. In one of your reply's you said dex-cool is better on the ground then the motor .

Would you recommend removing it and replacing with regular anti-freeze? Remember, it gets below freezing where I'm at.

it's true!

dexcool is fine, untill there is a leak in the system. then all hell breaks loose. i have not had a problem with the ss yet. i had a failed water pump, and crusty coolant resivoir, and the smell that would not go away in my gp gxp.

just an fyi on water injection. when running a 75/25 mix. don't use it as a windsheild cleaner. people behind you hate it.

I was planning on just getting windsheild washer fluid and using that. You have any other recommendations?

that'll work just fine, just as long as you don't plan on pushing the living **** out of the engine.

Yea I don't plan on pushing 28 degrees of timing, I just want some more mmmmfff for when I slam the pedal. I also only do pulls to roughly 125 so it ain't too bad!

it looses power above 25, or i should say, the gains are so small it's not worth the beating the bearings take above 25 degree's of total timing.

i may post a log later just for ***** n grins of a 65-120 run when i got the issues fixed in my car

T3/T04E Hybrid Turbochargers
T3/T04E Hybrid Turbochargers The T3/T4 Hybrid turbochargers consist of a T3 turbine section, (Stage I, Stage II, Stage III or the Stage V Trim) and a T4 compressor section (T04B trim or T04E trim). Paul, is the Turbonetics comp. map above the correct one for yours? If so, i'll redo the math tonight to check it out since that program you posted on the redlineforums is not accepted by my damn gov't computer!

no I don't think so, I'm not running the full size 60-1, I'm running T04E hifi 60-1 3" inlet 2" outlet instead of the 4" inlet 2.5" outlet. but it's still supposed to be 90-95% as efficient as the full size. I can't find a map either for my turbo, but according to my math on a full size, I should be better off and match up nicely. Also went with the .63a/r exhaust housing but with a stage III wheel so I should have better spool than the stage V wheel I have now. Also ball bearing is a definite plus.
I'm trying to get the actual compressor map from turbonetics, but so far no luck.

Sounds good Paul. I'm sure it'll work great. I'll redo all the math as soon as you get ahold of the right compressor map.

On a side note the turbo for my Teg came in. My buddy sent me an email asking if I ordered the right one because it looks the same as the old one. That's because the EVO III 16G is identical to all the other 16G's except for that nice lighter wheel inside that huffs out 550 CFM instead of 505! It's pretty much like an 18G squeezed into a 16G housing!

nice man, once you get back you gotta get some vids up of that little beast in action.
I was thinking of doing up a honda myself, but I think I'm just gonna buy a truck so I can trailor the cobalt around when I go to the track. With the higher Hp things are just waiting to break.

I surely will Paul. I actually have some videos and stories to post right now, but the camera we recorded the stuff on only has firewire connection and none of our computers have this connection on them! People won't believe what happened without proof, so I won't post until I can prove it with footage. I wish I couldn't dyno'd it when I starting running 13-15psi.

I'm shooting for 300+whp and wtrq, and thinking that sort of power in a car that weighs 2380lbs with a set of slick will net me an 11sec quarter mile of some sort. Since all the tracks around me ar 1/8's, I'm looking for a 7sec range run.

11 sec with ease man. (you can PM me the stories lol, I need some entertainment).
But yeah I had to buy a firewire card to get my **** up and running too with my new camera, unfortunately screwed up the camera somehow, so won't have any footage.
But on a good note, my friend is coming buy tonight with his STI and a few other cars, and a nicve 1080P HD vid camera to get some highway shots of my car and a few of my friends. Hopefully have that vid uploaded this weekend at some point. doing some night runs so I can finally see what the fireballs that come out of my exhaust look like lol.

I'll be looking out for it man. Sounds like it's going to be a badass video. Is the new turbo on yet or will it be on before the video? We just got wireless in the desert as a Christmas present. That's the only way I can see videos and pics too, so Santa was a cool cat this year! I'll shoot you a PM.

Shitty about the cheapo turbo. That Turbonetics one was the one I was looking at before I got the one I have now. If mine craps out that will be the replacement for sure.

Quick Reply: can u say pauls turbo 2.0
