**** I am screwed new turbo's exhaust flange is offset just enough that I can' bolt my downpipe up, so as of right now I'm stuck with no car unless I can find a shop tocut off the flange and reweld it tomorrow. **** I am so pissed off right now, everything went so smoothly right until the last goddamn thing. **** ****!!!!!!!!!! oh yeah and FFFFUUUUUUCCCCKKKKK

if its just some down pipe re-work a simple exhasut shop can handle that.

the only problem is, we'd have to rent the welder from a local shop, as I do not own one, I only use it at work. up to you.

I dont know of anyplace to rent a welder unfortunatley.
and I just moved so I have no idea whats around my area to do the work.... I'll let you know though man/ trying to get in touch with my friend that has a shop in nassua, hopefully he's around tomorrow.

Damn Paul, if I was around I sure would. That completely sucks that the downpipe doesn't line up right. I have a welder too is what really sucks. Hopefully you can get a local shop to do it. It should only take a couple minutes.

yeah my friend owns a shop, trying to get in touch with him this morning, now I need to find a ride to get over there. I'll mark the downpipe up, so all he needs to do is cut and reweld. Also need to pick up another t-bolt clamp since the outlet on the turbo is 2.25 not 2.0" so the one I have from the other one doesn't make it over the pipe, and need a new airfilter cause the inlet on the turbo is shorter than the old one.
But other than having to unbolt the steering rack to get this one in, it was pretty smooth considering how packed in everything is back there

oh of course man. I need to break in the turbo anyway. Gonna start at 15psi and workmy way up from there. All I gotta say, I drove it to the store lastnight with 1 bolt in the downpipe (I ran out of cigarettes at like 2:30 and it was 8) and even with the hole exposed for the internal wastegate (meaning exhaust wasn't fully going through the exhaust housing) it was still making a little boost. Can't wait to see what this bitch does all sealed up nice.

turbo is a ball bearing 60-1 HiFi setup
well after another 8 hours of work today, she is back alive... so much smoother and cleaner boost, plus the turbo sounds retarded when it spools. Still hitting boost @ the same rpm maybe 500 rpm sooner, but she definitely pulls harder on only 20 psi (only did 3 little pulls),
but damn what a day, ended up having to remake basically the whole downpipe, and in the process fucked up my return line, had to fix that, then attempt to make my filter fit on the turbo (I need to make an actal intake now) then finding the right size t-bolt clamps (odd size on the discharge of the compressor, 2" too small 2.5" too big I dunno, hose clamped it for now) but after many hours of toiling just drove it 30 miles home and all is good. even fixed another one of the exhaust leaks, but my flange to the head is too warped, so I still have a little leak at start up.

exhaust flange is stainless, but it was a little warped from the beginning (over heated whil welding) Making full boost now @5000 rpm intead of 5800 rpm with a decently bigger turbo.
Hopefully have some vids up today, just need to make a new air intake since the filter doesn't make it onto the turbo and hits the engine. Gonna do the autozone special I guess since it's just an inlet. I sorta got the filter on there now, so since it's rediclously cold out today I probably won't get to it until a bit later in the week. Also every single part of my body is sore as hell and my hands are all sliced up so I really don't feel like doing anymore work this weekend, considering I did about 12+ hours on the car since Friday, I've had enough lol.
It's running and driving so I'm happy

Awesome Paul! I take it your hands are tore up from that lovely stainless steel braided hose! I hate cutting that **** I swear!
As for the T-bolt clamp, go to the local parts store and buy a constant tension clamp for it instead. It'll hold like a T-Bolt, and give you the adjustability of the regular hose clamp. That's what I used on all the connections for my Integra and it works great.
