canned tunes
so how bad are the canned tunes i have just installed ottp stage 2 and i dont really feel much difference i imagine u would really feel 40 hp but i dont really think its all that much faster could it be that the tune is so conservative idk i know my car is not that much faster and was expecting it to be alot more

canned tunes are not "bad" in the sense of damage or harm to the car. they are "bad" however in the sense of producing power. they're called canned tunes because everyone one the vendor sells is the same as the last one, but they will vary vendor to vendor.
canned tunes are a generic, and like you said-conservative, tune. meant to get the car up and running/driveable, without any problems. and because of that, you won't see a great amount of power increase from them. if you want power and torque go get a custom tune from someone in your area that can push the car a little more and get more out of it. a tune specific to your car..

well the added weight will definitely effect it. but yeah a canned tune isn't going to produce as much as people think. if you really want some power, go get a 3" intake, full 3" exhaust, methanol injection, and a custom tune.

an eclipse...? I had four people in my car, all I have is gm stage 2 w/ 2.9 pulley and injen cai, and I pulled hard on an eclipse with intake, exhaust, downpipe... you definately need a good tune man, and when I say pull hard I mean it was a complete joke, he had no chance

I noticed a huge diffrence after installing my OTTP stage 2 over stock i have nothing else done but a drop in filter. I raced a stock 05 SS/SC and pulled away like nothing. I still have a dual pass, meth and tune that needs to go in. Ya Josh how loud is you're exhaust going to be? In the market for header and exhaust but want something quiet
