This has been hapening a lot lately. WTF is going on. It hasn't happened to me yet but I guess it's bound to happen hah? I guess it's something that happens once and goes away.

BTW, BADZSS06 where are you in CT?

I believe the people having this happen are experiencing the crakshaft posisition sensor failing...again, I'm seeing this happen to too many people in such a short period of time, and it's not like you can blame this part failing on someone who can't drive a stick. People having this problem need to be letting GM know!

Had it happen to me several times. I hated it. I would just be driving along normally and would try to accelerate and would look down at my tach and it'd be laying @ 0rpms. I would have to pull over and sit about 10 minutes until she started up again. It happened to me first at the track, then 3 other times, twice on the highway. I absolutely HATED it. Dealer said there was nothing wrong, there was no cel, nothing.

Yeah thats a weak ass thing, it happened to me but I pulled off to the side before it shut off, it had NO response and it fired up 10 min. later and it was all fine. Who knows only happened twice it'll never happen again though.

**** Tofu, that sucks if thats the main reason you got rid of the SS. Thats def. the crank position sensor.

I recently had the same exact thing happen, RPMs drop to 0, car runs like ****. Except I did throw code 335 for crank sensor malfunction.

I've been fine ever since. If it happens again I'll be getting a new sensor. If anyone does get a new sensor, you'll have to go in for a CASE learn.

Sucks, but at least we know the source of problem.
