Cat-back exhaust - Which one??
So I finally got around to checking out the death rattle from my exhaust system. I got under the car while the wife revved the engine, and heard the rattle from the top of the muffler. I pulled the heat sheild off, and started the car, and the noise is still there.
After checking the forums, I found that others have had the same issues with their baffles in the muffler rattling. I checked all of the other sheilds, and found that nothing else was rattiling.
Now I need a cat-back before I go nuts. I checked out YouTube for clips, and I love the sound of the SLP Loudmouth. I like the single outlet because it is about 1/2 of the price, and I don't need to cut the bumper. I was curious if anyone else had this and liked/disliked it. I like the magnaflow, but it is about $700. I found the SLP as cheap as $450 shipped online. The megan sounds good as well, but the tip is kinda ricer.
Any opinions/suggestions are welcome, as well as ideas as to were I can find them cheap. Thanks

I have the GMPP sport exhaust on my car. I know some guys on here don't like them, but if you are needing something to keep your warranty, it's a great exhaust. I got a good deal on mine and wanted to keep my warranty good, so it's perfect for me. Sounds awesome in my opinion and you can get some great deals on one on this site, there is always a couple of them for sale on here. But from what I have heard the SLP sounds the best if your not worried about warranty.

I've got the Magnaflow and I love it....It's not too loud and doesn't sound like the fartcans they sell at a parts store.
Although I do have a small rattle from time to time but don't know where it is coming from. but I don't care...lol

I think the slp has a very agressive tone I like it. If you dont care about having a stainless steel exhaust you can get a exhaust for 250 bucks. heres the link!

I was drawn to the magnaflow and the SLP initialy because they sound the best to me, but the magnaflow is too expensive for me. I would like to spend less than $500.

No, it was the welds on the flanges, hangers and muffler to pipe junction. As well as the positionng of the hangers, you have to really play with all the joints to get the system to line up anywhere close to nice.
Yeah the price is nice, but you get what you pay for. Lets also not forget that this system isnt stainless.

I'd recommend GMPP Touring exhaust. Crate-engine depot has sound clips of both touring and sport on the website. I listened to both many times before I made my decision. I also have header/dp combo not sure how much it comes in to play with the overall tone quality but it's very smooth and realitivley quite under normal driving.

Is it too loud without having a resonator..? That is my major concern... I hate rice sounding, and overly loud...

You seem to have your heart set on the SLP....lol...I've seen both clips of the single outlet and dual outlet. I personally like the dual outlet better because it pops more when letting off the throttle(kinda like the neon SRT-4) only not as sexy sounding...lol

I'd say CTI makes some good **** as far as I know. Vibrant is quality but it's supposed to be droney and loud.
Dual exhaust on a 4 cylinder car=communism
