Cat or Catless...
I'm going to be ordering a downpipe probably later today, if not, tomorrow...
I was told to do both, get a cat and get rid of it..
I have stock everything when it comes to exhaust.. except a flowmaster muffler..
That thing already sounds like total ass once I hit about 3k..
I know the catless will be louder (still not sure how much?) and i'm already loud w/ that muffler..
What're some of the advantages and disadvantages of each..
Thanks.
Edit: Mods are 2.8, 60's, and stage 3 h/e

advantage to catless is slight hp gain. disadvantage is exhaust sounds raspy(some people like it, most dont) and that youd need to get someone with hptuners to delete the cat from your system. also wont pass inspection catless.
advantage to cat is way less rasp sound and not having to use hptuners to get rid of it in your system. disadvantage is slightly less hp gains. cat will pass inspection even if its a high flow cat.

I also passed inspection, but PA does not use tailpipe sniffers so can't say this would be true everywhere.

I'm Currently running the ZZP 3" catless DP w/ stock catback. raspless until recently, think my resonator and/or muffler has come apart. My reasoning was the slight hp gain, and I don't want to keep going through cats. I had already went through 2 on my stock setup..
