Catback
Ive heard a couple soundclips of a few catbacks and most of them sound a little ricey,, and wut about the corsa touring exhaust im thinking about getting that should i? im confused

Well not to be an ass but this is a 4 cylinder so it's pretty much gonna sound ricey no matter what exhaust. Even my buick gn's and gtp with exhaust sounded farty (3.8's).

When it comes to cat-backs the biggest make or break sound device isn't the cat-back. They're just moving the gas basically in the most efficient way and the sound is already gone - the header/downpipe/cat is where you can really change the tone of your car. A cat-back will make it louder no doubt, and different mufflers will give you a different pitch but if you want to totally change it then swap the h/dp/c.

I've got the GMPP Sport exhaust, I like it, I dont think it is ricey
deep tone, not raspy or farty
I have a video of my car on the dyno that shows off the exhaust and intake really well, click "went to the dyno" in my sig

I did notice a tone change when I ported the stock manifold. The GMPP cat-back sounds really nice, not ricey. Just watch the cat. If you take out the cat, the car sounds a little funny sometimes. Up top, WOT, the car sounds like something evil, its really bad-ass. I get compliments on that. But around town, sometimes I get buzzy, resonating type exhaust tone. But again, thats with no cat. Also, my pipe sizes are different.

speak for yourself.. my GTP sounded great.
you guys know ENGINE makes the sound right????
that is why the 4.6L mustang sounds better than the 5.7 LS1 (sad but true, and i love the 5.7)
that is why the 3.4L SHO v8 motor sounds so much better than the 3.8L Grand Prix.
That is why the 2.5 boxer wrx motor sounds better than all of the above
sure header(manifold) back changes it a little bit, but it is solely up to the engine.

Well I'm coming from the sound of v8's with exhaust. I never said it sounded bad, just more buzzy. My 3.8's did sound good at idle and slow speed. When I got on my gtp it got buzzy to me, and the grand nationals...well all I heard was turbo Seriously, everything that isn't an 8 cylinder sounds "ricey" to me since I've had so many v8's. Not that it's bad, it's just, well I don't know...different. I just prefer the v8 rumble/scream I grew up with. And you're right about the engines making the noise, an lt1 5.7 sounds very much different from an ls1 5.7 (they even have different firing order), and so on. Didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings as this is just my opinion and nothing more.

Yeah. Thats why the sound a Supra makes all men get instant stiffies. And why the sound of a Honda makes me want to kill small animals and steal from charities.

I heard Ark makes the best soundin one. Theyre comin out wit a quieter one called the DT-S instead of the louder N2 one out now. I emailed em and they said itl be available by the end of the month.

I couldn't disagree more. My Borla sounds awesome!! It's a deep tone that doesn't get raspy at all when I'm WOT. And I believe the GMPP sounds the same because I believe it is the same...
