thanks guys, so from what I understand it gets spliced in between the valve cover breather near the header and then goes to the catch can and then through the rest of its regular route

Here is the best and cheapest DIY catch can your gonna find. You'll just need to buy two barbed fittings. Splice the hose and insert the catch can, then you should be good to go. BTW they also have these air compressor filters at Lowes.

I has the home depot mod it actually works great. Just cut the hose in the place you want to put it, attach the two ends and woila. Best part you just unscrew it and drain fluid and put it back on. Also you don't have to worry about build up on your throttle body. I use to have fluctuating idle but cleaned the throttle body and put in the catch can and all fixed.
