CEL only after I fill up.

I have an 07 SS/Sc ZZP cai 3" which has been on the car for over a year now rest of the motor is stock. So when I fill up about 15 miles afterwards(so far all three times I have filled up) a CEL comes on, the first couple times it came on when I was going to work @ 5 am and went away on the drive to an advanced auto parts to scan it and I finally just caught it in time the other day and its throwing a "bank 1 lean code."

Last thing I did was install OTTP stg2 mounts(which I would assume has nothing to do with it)and about a month before hand I had a dealer install the LSJ clutch upgrade kit.

Any ideas why it is all the sudden doing this?

dirty maf
bad vacuum tube
vacuum leak downward of maf

do you have the EXACT cel code? maybe during install of something they bumped/cut something? I would start with cleaning the MAF sensor.

Ya I know but this is the 2nd dealer that I have experienced complete incompetence and if they could rule the issue to be from the cai they will void any warranties lol. Been there done that sued gm and got my warranties back lol....not to mention the dealer that did the clutch didn't even install the provided clutch pipe even after informing him it was in the trunk with the rest of the clutch/flywheel stuff lol

Yes I always use two specific gas stations near my house that both have 93 and have been filling up there since I bought the car last year, I did notice filling up the last time the pump stopped itself at half a tank as if it were full. The car runs fine except the vibrations from the mounts(which I hopefully can find the time to re-adjust them so they aren't so bad).

are you tuned for your 3" CAI?, because going from stock airbox to THAT w/o a tune will defiantly cause a lean condition.

This is real common with almost any intake, even the airbox mod will set it off. My airbox mod set my CEL off. When I went stage 2 the CEL stopped coming on for it UNLESS i used under 93 octane. I got 2 Gas America gift cards for $40 so I had to fill up with 92 since GA doesn't have 93 here and soon as I used 92 the CEL came on for System too lean bank 1. Just keep away from anything under 93 octane and it should minimize the chances of that popping up. If you go stage 2 it should stay away with maybe a very random occurance every few months but will go off very shortly after. So far since i've gotten stage 2 it's only come on 2 times and both times i had just filled up using 92 octane. I think that should answer the problem for you.
