ture but that doesnt even come close without installation is where you pay out the butt.. plus you can only put the gm stage 3 with gm stage2 already on

best bet bro find a stage kit that fits your personal liking its really the best investment(GM, intense, tag).. dont try to achieve soemthing that really isnt possible like saying i wanna run 12s..

I think that just sums it up right there, IMO. 2 fast 2 furious too loud too obnoxious.
If i wanted to get the most hp for the least amount of money do everything that an intense stage kit has, but do it yourself. Find someone w/ hp tuners to get a custom tune. Port your supercharger yourself. And have some good cooling mods. (heat exchanger, dual bypass) .

Well that would be pointless. A 2.5" pulley kills top end, and meth injection wouldn't help anything because the stock injectors would be at like 225% duty cycle, not to mention the 24 lbs. of boost from having the stock exhaust. He said cheap, 2.5" + meth injection is hardly cheap in its self, not to mention the slew of supporting mods you need with them

I have already done most other mods.. besides porting the supercharger but i dont want to overboost so one of my final mods was nitrous

other than that, you could have that power all the time with a 2.6" pulley, #60 injectors, a heat exchanger, clutch/flywheel, axles, custom tune... maybe some other stuff too.
this would cost like $2,000 USD, or more.

Why is it so hard to get hp out of these cars? is the eaton holding it back? or is it something else
it's not hard. its actually really easy. and the car was well built so doing the mods yourself, isnt totally out of the question. DIY can save you a ton of $$. i wouldn't say the eaton is holding it back. maybe it could have been a bit more efficient, but doin a 60hp gain is well within the parameters of the eaton M62.

let me give you an example: this is my 2.9" pulley, lucas #42's
easily installed hp. 40+hp=$300USD + 1 hour of your time + custom tune

install:

cheapest mod to free up horsepower would be to lose alot of weight in the vehicle note to yourself 1lb of rotating mass off a car lets say rims is 11lbs off a car so some light weight rims can free up 200 lbs off a car

I don't remember where I saw it. I cannot locate it anymore. I think it was from a magazine several years ago. But a guy with a Honda or something wanted to know the cheapest way to make his car faster and said he would donate his car for modification. So they took the car and completly stripped it.. Hood, seats, exhaust, AC, dash. They even cut out the roof, frame, and floorboards and welded some scrap tube frame in. Pretty much looked like a go-cart. But.. it was much faster and it was pretty much free Not what the kid expected at all.

Best price/performance mod in my opinion is an airbox mod. But stage 2+ is priceless.
