Clear Image header
#101
Are you pushing these out yet to ss/sc customers? I am looking to get myself a b-day present... some nice and shiny headers and hi-flo dp seems like a great idea.
What is the expected realistic gain for headers and a hiflo dp/cat? 10hp/tq? 15 hp/tq?
Thanks,
Rich

We can sell the header raw, without ceramic coating, but I don't suggest running it on the car that way. Though our local customer we did the R&D on did go with just high temp paint. I'll price it without the ceramic.
The header can also be sold without the down pipe for a local shop to do some fab work. We used the stock stock cat converter and flex pipe to save our local R&D customers some money so it can be done.
As far as puching them out, we have been back ordered for weeks on other headers and are just about caught up. Hopefully by the end of this week we will have a batch of 5 headers going. We have one ready to ship and are just waiting for hi-flow cat converter cores to arrive. At that point we will swap tooling on the big bender and bend up a bunch of tubing for off-road pipes and hi-flow converters.

The converter is a metal matrix core, 400 cell. We do not have an EO number and considering the long tube header design, CARB would never approve because the stock cat converter is moved, altered, replaced, etc. We're emissions compliant because we offer the cat but not emissions approved. Any long tube header using an aftermarket cat converter is technically for "off road use only".
As far as dyno numbers, we shipped the first production header and converter to a member in AZ. he should have them by the end of this week. He will be both dyno testing and taking the car to the track for a before and after set of times and numbers.
The info is coming guys.
Also, i don't know if we mentioned it or not. We are moving to a new shop by the end of this month. So right now things are crazy around here.
Thanks again for your comments and interest in our products.

is this still going to be a CARB approved product? i'm in cali and would love a quality piece that can bolt on, and be CARB approved. i'm tired of fabing down pipes y pipes x pipes the whole bit.

It isn't carb cert since the cat has been moved like it said on a previous thread, but the headers and down pipe fit perfectly. The headers bolted on pefectly on to my car, and i didnt receive the bolts to connect the d/p to the headers but a couple of 2.75in bolts, some lock washers and some bolts and it solved that problem. Im running it with an ark exhaust and it sounds good, performance wise, looking for a place to dyno, but i think someone else was doing a pre and post install dyno to see performance gain.

We are right in the middle of our move. We are looking at being in by June 1st. Once in and settle we will be able to get back on track and start taking orders again. We will keep updates to our progress. Hang in there!

excited as hell for this header. looks like a clean, quality peice. I am trying to decide if i can swallow that kind of money for a header, but money aside, this is the best header i have seen yet for the balt. a big pat on the back to clear image. to whomever is supposed to be doing the before and after dyno...bumpety bump BUMP!
