compression test help

ok so i did have my new motor in and its burning a good amount of oil and blowing smoke when you get on it. mainly when ever i get into boost.

so i did a compression test to see if i am getting blow by or anyhting like that.
counting from the cam gears across here are the results

1. 196psi
2. 195psi
3. 205psi
4. 202psi

the numbers should be with in 5-10% of each other and they are but i am not 100% sure where my numbers should be at... to my knowledge those numbers are deecently high and it looks that the motor is holding a good compression.

That is perfectly normal compression for these cars. Do a leakdown test next if you can, just to make sure its not a valve guide or something.

How much oil are you losing?

yeah thats my next move. i jsut wanted to check on my compression numbers. i was gonna do the leak down test and see if i can hear the air whistling in the exhaust, intake or out of the dip stick... that will tell me where the problem is...

leme know what you find. Im extremely curious of what the problem is as it seems to be that the rings are holding compression.

valve overlap. had to retard my exhaust cam 3 degrees. now she purs like a kittten

and the oil burn was not as much as i thought... it was from the SC pulling it through the PCVsystem. now i got a little oil breather filter on ther and its fine. all the smoke was un burnt gas burning in the exhaust system. and the valve over lap made the loss of power
