Cooling,meth?

Ok i need to get some kind of cooling mod my current mods are in my sig. but i can feel that i need something. I was set on water/meth for cooling but i have been told i have to be tuned for it to get the best results and it is dangerious to spray with out a tune because how rich i would get is this ture? Also with the meth i was going to spray before the blower what negative effect will i have with that? I know my other choices are daul pass or ca-he what sould i do here water/meth,daul pass or cobre heat ex.??

If you just want to cool you dont need the tune. Actually, plain distilled water injection is excellent for cooling. If you are not running high AIT2 temps though then you gain little from cooling alone. Meth increases octane and that is what you can tune for just like using race gas.

The spray/mist wont hydrolock the engine especially before the blower.

It'll be like driving on a humid day for your engine...

You don't need a tune to run meth, it's just suggested. For now just run a smaller nozzle size until your ready to get tuned. There is a group buy going on right here https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/supporting-vendor-deals-group-purchases-133/devils-own-group-buy-114098/

3gph is what I would suggest, then once you get some mods and a tune you can bump it up to 5gph. It won't hurt the blower if you spray through it, that's the suggested method.

Only con I can think of is if you are tuned for it and you're timing is advanced and you run you're tank dry, you can blow you engine.
Pro's are much cooler IAT's and higher octane.

Just make sure you don't run out.

Their are very few differences. Most if not all the pieces of the kit are the exact same. So they are pretty much the same besides the progressive controllers. They both do the same job, but I think theres has a serial port connection on it for some reason. They have a nicer trunk mount tank that holds the pump, but our kits are alot more reasonable on price. If you have anymore questions let me know.

That gets expensive fast.
My friend and I logged my car with HPTuners, and you're seriously not getting any timing advance from the methanol without a tune, so don't waste your money.. run straight -20*F washer fluid.

From first person experience, I can tell you that my AIS Meth Kit was really easy to install, probably an hour, depending on where you want to mount the tank, pump, etc. Mine's running off the windshield washer fluid tank.

wateva plugs you have/need depends on your stage kit ...the meth doesnt affect that...it jus helps cool the engine via a better latent vaporization of the water an the methanol boosts the ocatane therefore eliminating knock and stabilizing detonation

Oh no, you won't hydro lock the motor. You would use a small 3 or 5 gph nozzle which would spray a very fine mist into the inlet of your supercharger. Much of this mist quickly evaporates as it meets the hot rotors within your supercharger cooling them off. With these engines hardly any of the water methanol mist actually makes it into the cylinders.

Oh I just realized that with the rising gas prices...the meth kit would allow you to run regular fuel if you wanted becuase it will still be raised above 93 octane anyways even with just regular 87 octane
