Corsa Exhaust update, IMPORTANT!!!

Well as i stated befroe several times, my car has no cat. The Corsa exhaust system is designed to have the cat in place. They agree it doesn't sound right so they are sending me a different muffler to try since i have NO CAT. They say it should sound MUCH better so i will post my results when i get it installed. Allthough i think it sounds cool now(the video doesn't do it justice), we are here to please all owners so i will test some more!

SO here are some cliff notes,
1) If you run a 2.8 or smaller you will need to remove the cat to avoid damage to it. (what i've read on here and ION site) I took mine off early to avoid damage to it.

2) The Corsa "Sport" system must be used with a cat unless you like a VERY loud exhaust
It sounds totally different then what mine does.

3) If you have removed your Cat, then you will need to run the "Touring" set-up but i will verify this for everyone.

4) It is a 2.5" system, show quality muffler and resonater, stainless steel pipes, lifetime warranty!

Just wanted to clarify all the info

Yes, every 3rd ignition cycle it sets after an intrusive test is run. I just clear it with my Aeroforce gauge/scanner.

Do you have any photos from underneath to show the setup?

Chevypowered posted videos of the exhaust too and his doesn't sound any better. I won't buy this exhaust unless it is putting down much better number than the competition. I don't see the point in spending more money for something that isn't going to give me better results

if im not mistaken i beleive the corsa system gives you a 12hp/8tq gain which is the highest amount ive seen, also what type of damage are you talking about to the cat... i thiought you car couldnt pass emissions if it didnt have a cat on it...i just dont understand can someone explain???

yea, I'm kinda confused as well. Why would GMPP sell something that'll damage the cat. Or sell something that would make the car illegal if you put it on correctly...

The exhaust will not break the cat. He was saying that running a 2.7 pulley will damage it due to detonation and what not from lean conditions. As for passing emissions yes you can pass if you have OBD-II and you do not have a cel. You no longer have to pass emissions they jus hook your PCM/ECU up to a scanner to see if there is a CEL on or not.

Why have you not just swapped out to a high flow cat?

Screw spending $700 bucks on exhaust, I'm just putting and electric exhaust cut-out after the header before the cat. Instant power from the flick of a switch!
