Custom intake manifold thoughts...

Custom intake manifold thoughts...
I'm thinking about a complete custom LSJ intake manifold for my RWD car and for this I like to use suitable donor parts of another engine type.
If I'm correct our engine has a cilinder distance of 96mm. (= Distance between inlet ports)
Surfing around I found that a Nissan SR20DET engine has a cilinder distance of 97mm.
There are lot's of good (cheapish) aftermarket manifolds available for this engine, so welding an ecotec inlet flange onto a modified SR20DET manifold may give me a good starting point.
Anybody happen to have the inlet flange port dimensions/drawing of the SR20DET?
Or know other suitable engine types with ~96mm cilinder distance??
Thxs

I thought you were keeping the SC'd.
The SR20DET intake would be good to retrofit for a turbo build... but for an SC'd motor it would be kind of the *****. That is, unless you are still planning to move the SC to the lower part of the engine bay.

Keeping the SC, but I'm looking around for parts I maybe can use on my "lowered SC set-up" project.
If I can source a suitable manifold with runners, trumpet intakes and a nice plenum... Can save me a lot of time.
Sofar SR20DET manifolds are a good donor candidate with a bore pitch of 97mm and widely available. (Ecotec = 96mm)
The Honda K20A has lots of nice ones for my intended set-up, but only a bore pitch of 94mm. Probably too difficult to make fit...
Then the new Misubishi 4B11: 86 x 86mm and pitch 96mm. Exactly like an LSJ! Only quite new (Evo X), so still expensive for a donor parts. (But maybe a idea as source for good turbo manifolds?? I'm also dreaming of an 4B11T head on a Ecotec bottom. If that could be made to fit. )
Last candidate I found was the SRT4. Also a bore pitch of 96mm. Good internal design and even the intake port shape looks quite similar to the Ecotec's.
Hmmmm... Lots of options for my winter project.
