1k or so i think the spec is 700 or something like that
defanately not i just thought he was looking for more power if he was talking about upgrading the clutch
Not to go against your advice but the Stage 3 Exedy clutch is not for everyone. The pedal is super stiff and if you drive in lots of stop and go traffic your leg will look like pop eye. Good clutch none the less. A decent one would be a spec stage 3+. Still driveable.

Just like M88arRamadi said, get the + versions if you go with spec.
I have no problem with driving my stage 3+ spec around. I don't think it's that bad, and I didn't even notice it when I first started to drive it. (My car was down for a month because they sent me the wrong flywheel, so I had to ship it back and wait for it). It wasn't until I drove a stock clutch cobalt again that I noticed how stiff mine was. Still, doesn't bother me at all. I installed a Excedy clutch in a car the other month. It's stiffer in comparison, but the guy says he doesn't notice it anymore. You'll get used to any of them pretty quickly.
To choose what you want, pick out a HP goal, and make sure you leave room to move up in the future. I believe the rule is something like 3/4 power. If you plan on going to say 750hp, build it up to withstand 1000hp. That way if you want say 850hp, you don't need all new parts.
