so i just installed my V2 header, all i can say is there's a big diffrence. so now im looking to getting a down pipe and cat back. so i'm not wanting the loud ricer sound. so they way i can explain the noise i want, is comparing it to the mazda speed 3. i drove one and feel in love with the sound! its a low base tune, and not annoying on the interstate.....has anyone found a syestem like that?

2 1/4 in gmpp its small but quieter
and magnaflow is not raspy i have a v2 header, zzp 3in dp, and custom 2 1/2 inch exhst with only a muffler no resinator and the only time its raspy is 3000-3500 rpm so with a resinator you shouldnt have rasp at all

imho GMPP exhaust is the best sounding. Although there has been a recent lengthy discussion about a 3" muffler that has a spring flapper inside that supposedly sounds good/isnt as loud as a regular 3". At the same time 3" is to big for most if not all m62 cars.

There's no way to make it sound like the MS3. IMO, the MS3 and Subaru engines sound a lot alike. Anyway, just make sure you keep a cat and a resonator on, and the fart cans off... and you should be fine.
