Dualpass endplate

Alright guys I bought a stock endplate off a member on here and I need to know what kind of fitting to get. And Im not sure to have a fitting welded on there or try to get something like gm uses that a barb fitting threads into. I could try to get a small piece of aluminum and drill it out and then weld it to the endplate. What do you guys think will work best.

Bump anyone

check out Blown-4-Bangers threads, in one of the How-to's he shows you how to make a dual pass endplate from a stock one, he yelled at me once for ordering a dual pass endplate, haha instead of making my own

yeah I read it but I need to know if a fitting welded in there would be good enough or if I should get a piece like what crateenginedepot has on theirs.

I use a threaded fitting and drill/tap the endplate, similar to what Blown-4 did. I've sold several of them and never had one leak.

Blurred is that like metal jb weld? Italian all you do is drill the hole tap it and tighten the fitting down. I have a mig welder at my house but not familiar with aluminum. I assumed thats what the endplate is made out of.

Go there, the top picture is what I do. I actually have a local machine shop do it for me, I have yet to have a problem so I don't mind paying him a little bit to make sure I have a quality product.

I used an Earl's fitting. One end had a moveable nut on it that I cut off with a hacksaw (Blue Nut End). Then I sanded it to position it without hitting the oil filter part of the engine. After that I drilled a hole in the bubble center part of the old plate and had the fitting welded to it. The other end already had the -12 barb on it, so it was good to go. It was a 90* fitting and worked great. I actually sold it to someone on here and wish I still had it beause it was nice!

Here is the fitting I used:

Yeah, otherwise you get air trapped in the line and it stops flowing.
