dyno numbers with tvs
ok so my set up is in my sig and I put down 328whp@6400 293 wtq@ i can't remember and i'm too lazy to grab the dyno sheet from my car. at first i kinda thought it was a little low until i realized it was at only 6400. power was still clearly rising stedily on the graph. The next thing is the shop also tuned the car and did no tuning past 6400 so the car is worthless on top where the tvs shines.. to top it all off the car is only on 18 degrees of timing... Definitely taking it back to be tweaked, should have more numbers soon!

have them spin it to atleast 7k. set rev limiter at 7200 or 7300. dont wanna flirt with the 7500 mark unless you have some stronger valve springs.
18* is nothing for an e85 car. start adding 1* at a time til you see a hint of kr. then back it down.
That mod list should net you atleast 360whp if your tuner is worth anything.

19~20 max. Thats generally what i have seen when we tuned cars. Once you get to there it will be hit or miss with knock. Plus in the winter months gas qauilty is never as good so why chance it IMO.

Kyle, you live in texas. you dont get cold
18* is very safe for the m62 with 2.8. 20* should be no problem, if theres any kr then you probly should just add more fuel. high 11s afr is a myth. 11.3 is actually going to produce best torque and should keep away teh KR.

You don't need axles...
I ran stock axles on my Turbo set-up for a year. They were perfectly fine when I took them out too... regret ever taking them out, but I thought that's what a certain clicking noise was. Stock axles are more than capable of holding some high power levels.
