I personally try and keep it around 11.6-11.8 across the board. If I were going to be a bit leaner it would be in the midrange and then fatten up a bit up top. I'm usually close in torque as compared to my horsepower with my 11.6-11.8 across the board though. 238whp and 230wtrq the last time I went to the dyno. That was long ago though.

As for your tq, they need to tell you your peak tq number, and your tq curve needs to be somewhat flat. Like mine, I made peak tq from 4000rpms all the way to 5100rpms. and my tq never varied more than 10-12lb/ft. THAT'S CALLED TUNING.
i miss my lt1 i made peak tq from 1100 rpm to 5200rpm right around 311ft lbs. i thought the dyno was broken cause there was an extra line on the sheet but it ended up being my torque "curve"

I am grabbing hptuners today and some nitrous. Not going to run the nos, but going to play around a little with hptuners and do some logging. I will get some dyno time at the dyno shop down here and do some tweaking soon. We will see what she likes.

Hey hey hey whats up boys.

This is for sure a time for an update.

Well the nitrous is installed, it has not yet been ran on the dyno. AS WE SPEAK I am ordering hptuners. I am going to go ahead and run a 35shot on the dyno and see how she does with 24 degrees of timing. I am doing this after I change my spark plugs and oil, and the maintence work so I know she is running the way she should be. I will be logging it with hptuners the entire time and will post everything.

The goal is to have hptuners here by friday, no later then saturday, worse case scenario some how monday lol. Then to have my tune perfected by wednesday, and on the dyno by friday to test the 35shot.

I am pretty nervous using the 50 shot, and really don't think I want to without forged internals.

I have the following setup. Nitrous activation switch, Remote Bottle Opener switch, Bottle heater switch, Purge switch, Methanol injection controller, lean/rich shut down controller. I have so many little gadgets in my car its funny.

When you get in my car the first thing is you see the 3 gauges in the a pillar, then the wide band on the steering wheel, then the gps, then the radar detector, then the lean/rich nitrous shut down (which also watches the af/r) and then all of the nitrous switches lol.

I am enjoying the car but its time for some maintenance. Oil on the DIC is at like 25% which is time to change it, and occasionally I am getting slight knock randomly so I am backing off some timing. And to top it off I believe one of my spark plugs is bad because I randomly get a miss. I am also thinking about switching to a 5pgh nozzle, however my iat2s have not hit 140 on a 1st to 3rd back to back to back pull which amazed me.

BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back the timing off more please. lol. I would be conservative with it, like 15-18 degrees on a 35shot, and I'd still be a little scared.

I have an 11.4 afr at wot, and I have 0 knock on wide open throttle runs. However on daily driving, at higher speeds, going up a hill i will randomly get a very slight amount of knock. So yes, I do need to back off the timing. When I am not spraying methanol, say at 0psi boost, I am getting knock going up a hill because of not methanol injection, and to much timing.

Also, with the nitrous I clearly need to back off the timing. I am thinking 10 degrees of timing + 35shot would be conservative wouldn't you?

Everyone said I would be fine to stay at 24 degrees timing on a 35 shot...I wonder why you think otherwise?

heheh, i run 25* with a 50 shot... zach, u could honestly get away with 23-24* with ur meth kit... read ur nitrous manual (if they supplied one) ...anything under a 50 shot isnt all that necessary to retard timing.

Cause I'm scared of nitrous and I'm not ready to use it yet. I got a bunch of friends telling me to throw a 35/50/75 shot on it just like you are, but I'm going to invest money elsewhere and use nitrous as a last resort.

I've never used it and I don't really know a whole lot about it, but from what I've read, you just don't want to be too aggressive with the timing.

Good luck, I look forward to hearing what a tiny 35shot does for your!

I have a bottle heater so hopefully my bottle pressure will be much higher, but I am purchasing hptuners as we speak, and will hopefully have it hear shortly. Looks like I will be changing the plugs and oil tomorrow and have dyno time setup at the shop on tuesday. 30mins of dyno time for 50 bucks. Can't argue with that.

blah, my debit card apparently has a 300 dollar limit, aka i can't buy hptuners on it right now. Sweet life lol, I am getting it raised, when the gal calls me back I am going to go ahead and order it.

Do you need to be tuned at all silver?

Maybe....probably going with the OTT Stage 1 kit though. I'm selling my Stage 2 kit to a co-worker who has an SS/SC. Might need to fine tune her though.
