apparently even over the internet they still have a daily 300-500 dollar limit. I just got it raised to a 1000 dollar limit for today, and then a 500 dollar limit there after. Not to big of a deal.
Silver, you should go with a custom tune imo. I will also do it very cheap, and we would have the same setup, what pulley are you going with and what cooling mods?

To the best of my knowledge all banks have a daily limit on debit cards bro lol. I have a few, and credit cards, and paypal balance, and paypal buyer credit, so I wasn't worried about it either way. Took 1 phone, and 1 phone call back, and all of 3 minutes to solve lol.
If I need to go over that amount though, like today, all I have to do is call them and say hey im going to be spending a lot, I need you to raise my limit to 1k, or 2k, or 3k because im buying a tv and a home theater system lol and then they will.
Which I really wanna do when i move into my new apart here shortly woot.

I don't think anything over 80% on the idc's is good. I don't like my injectors being static, and I like to be on the safe/conservative side on tuning.
AND in my personal opinion depending on the altitude running a 2.8 on 42lbers is just stupid. On a stage 2 tune the IDC's will be through the roof, and even a really good tuner can only do so much. Your look at roughly 130% in IDC's with a 2.8 and 42lbers at sea level on a stage 2 tune.
I don't care for being static, and I don't care for being over 80% idc. Thats just my opinion though and I don't want to get into an argument mate <3.
silver - i really think the next mod you should get besides a tune is methanol. You will see and feel the biggest increase in that and the pulley together.

2.8" pulley with 42s on meth might be safer. You would need a 5 or 6 gph nozzle and a progresive controller so you could start the spray low and build to max boost.
The IDCs on my 60s went from 77% at WOT to 65% at WOT with a 5gph nozzle and simular afrs.
You would not see a 12% drop in IDCs with 42s but it might be enough to lower the IDCs from the 90s to the 80s with a custom tune.
Still not ideal but a little safer.

I still don't recommend it. If you want to do something, do it right. If you're going to run a 2.8 do it on 60lbers. BUT lets keep this thread about the dyno and nitrous updates and questions and all that good stuffs.
Tomorrow is the oil change and spark plug change, might get a run in while im at the shop and get another good solid baseline number if they got time, and then once the tune is dialed in, which will only take a few days, we will be good to go. I will start with a 35 shot, and MIGHT spray a 50 shot.
Highest I have dyno'd so far tuned with methanol and 24 degrees timing was 280whp. Obviously on a dynojet.

lol I am glad we agree on that subject then lol. Being a future tuner I am going to hate having to tune 2.8s and 42lbers. I swear I will deny doing it, unless the money is reaaaaaaly needed lol.

Just wanted to give ya a little bit of an update.
I got the spark plugs changed, ngk bkr7e's gapped at .040, the winter tires and rims are now on, and I also changed the oil filter and oil with mobil 1 5w30 fully synthetic.
Tuesday is my 30mins of dyno time, as many runs as I can get in for 30mins for 50 dollars, so I will be back with logs and all of that good stuff.
Hopefully hptuners will be here today or tomorrow, no later then monday =D.

yes I will be spraying the 35shot first after I get the tuned all set. If I feel comfortable enough with the tune, and the car, I will spray a 50-55 shot.
Currently as it sits without spray I am at 280whp.

Actually not at all. I have a very good tune, with methanol injection and pushing out 24 degrees of timing. If you know what you're doing with these cars, you can get some very good numbers.

lol..
I would go a little higher than that... around 265...
Its not hard to.. "tune" 2.8 and 42s.. its really not that hard, nor does it cause any problems if your not stupid about it (as long as 2.8 isnt run on a stage 2 tune youll be ok)
but if he did work on the tune... and he spent time with it.. 280 is reachable..
Didnt knew ya hptuned it!

If he opened it up on the tune ... ALOT... i guess its possible.
But really.. lets say you have 42 and 2.8... switching to the 60s really wont get you gains will it? Its just allows for more flow?

yes. i have ran the similar set-up in the past w/ ls4 tb and 3" intake and a tad bit more timing and made 269whp with a very agressive tune
